If you choose just one self-help book this year, make it The Manna Paradigm Shift: Creating the Consciousness of Abundance and Freedom. The audiobook guides you to tap into the power within you – within us all – to enjoy personal freedom, peace, and abundance. Big claim I agree, but standing on the shoulders of ancient spiritual wisdom and her years in the trenches as a practicing psychologist, Dr. Davina Kotulski delivers. As someone in the third act of life, I’ve been asking in earnest for answers to life’s deeper questions. The Manna Paradigm Shift sets out a new reality, creates a fresh vision, and introduces choice as a way to experience greater freedoms through higher consciousness. Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones sang, “You can’t always get what you want” - fortunately, The Manna Paradigm Shift shares how to get what you need.
The book is split into three parts. The first part sets the context for manna as a way of conceiving life, relating the ancient story of Exodus when the Israelites fled from Egypt to freedom. Readers seeking to break free of their mental chains and old belief systems will relate to the story. Dr. Kotulski asks us to question the false ideas that have led us to give away our power. Referring to her own journey, she inspires us to connect with our higher mind and rely on faith to help release fears preventing us from truly enjoying life. In part two, Dr. Kotulski introduces practices for readers to cultivate manna consciousness and align thoughts, words, and actions with Source (however you define God, the universe, energy). I loved the author’s liberal use of analogies to simplify concepts and relate principles. Growing your manna mindset, for example, is like singing. If you want to extend your range, you need to practice hitting the high notes. The Manna Mindset Manifesto is a key part of the practice and uses powerful statements that capture the essence of the framework. Nine fundamental affirmations provide practical support and focus action. Like spokes on a wheel, each enables your own Exodus from surrendering and clearing your mind to staying present, having an open heart, and making time to play. The rubber hits the road in part three where Dr. Kotulski assures us if we free our minds, the manna will follow. If we let each moment be guided by how we feel, we choose our reality. You can choose to shift your negative thoughts and edit out bad news. You can encourage joyful activities and live a life believing things are always working out for you. It’s your choice.
The Manna Paradigm Shift concludes with a 30 Day Manna Challenge, taking readers from living by money to living by manna. The Challenge includes simple activities for each of the thirty days (including days of rest) and shows readers how to let go and to build trust in the universe. You can watch your life change as you learn to focus on inner prosperity, creative power, and connect with Source every day. As I started to shift into manna consciousness and feel gratitude for this miracle audiobook, I wished Dr. Kotulski had produced it sooner – then I stopped, smiled, and realized that The Manna Paradigm Shift had arrived, care of the universe, in perfect timing. The narrator of this audiobook was the author, Dr. Davina Kotulski. Her delivery was clear, concise, and her passion for the topic came through in the recording. Ways for readers to access supporting materials to complete practical activities are set out several times during the recording. The audio quality is excellent.
