Author Biography

My career has been as a writer/producer/executive in the entertainment industry. The thing that drives me and that remains my passion is the art of story telling. Stories are what inspire us, teach us, give us insight into ourselves, motivate us and entertain us. I am an avid reader and feel connected to the writers I love to read. We communicate through story and it is my desire to create that connection with others.

A first-rate novel about a man’s journey to find himself, a beautiful love story with a lovely woman, and a twelfth century myth, The Last Machaca by Aleks Lyons is a densely plotted novel with surprising moments that will take the reader’s breath away. The Last Machaca is a beautiful story beautifully told, a story with powerful psychological undertones. Aleks Lyons’ prose is impeccable and it features awesome descriptive passages, laced with emotional insight and engaging dialogues. Readers will be pulled in from the very beginning of the story, seduced by the complexities of the plot and the masterful use of legend. The setting is wonderfully developed and the reader will feel as though they are part of the story. This story is a great success; it had me entertained more than I could have imagined.

Mr. Readaholic

I read at least 50 books a year: fiction, non-fiction, help books. I find so many books today are basically long screen plays and have no background on the people and places in the book. This book built a story and gave me details, all while being a great read and exciting. Thanks for writing again in today's age of briefs!
