The Landlord's Inheritance by Terry Joe Gunnels is an action-packed and impossible to put down story. Mickey and Darcy are siblings who were faced with the sudden loss of their parents. There had been an automobile accident killing their mother and leaving their father with brain damage. As the two try to make sense of it all, they realize that it was not an accident but a deliberate attack to kill them. It soon becomes apparent that it involved their aunt and uncle who were hoping to take over the family real estate business in terms of an old power of attorney. Mickey and Darcy are determined not to let this happen, no matter what. They have the help of friends and soon find themselves in a battle facing unknown enemies and danger at every turn.
The Landlord's Inheritance immediately drew me into the story and I felt that I wanted to help Mickey and Darcy to achieve a successful conclusion. The story was real, the characters are everyday people, and the plot kept me reading long past my bedtime. Terry Joe Gunnels has written a true-to-life novel that has it all - romance, mystery, murder, friendship, and fast-moving adventure. The book covers many genres that will make this a great read for both men and women of all ages. This is a five-star plus novel that should be put at the very top of your reading list.
