The Good Mood Book has a great message for young children. The idea of a child going to bed upset and dreaming of Good Mood Gorki has a lot of positives. The Gorki was cute, entertaining and delivered a good message. The illustrations were everything that the book description promised. It's a short read that offers an exciting adventure of places to go and things to see. The Gorki’s main focus is to turn frowns and worries into smiles and giggles.
I read this book with my five-year-old granddaughter and she liked it but was not too interested in reading it again right away. With that said, I think it would offer a big pick-me up for the right child at a time when they are sad or unhappy. I believe The Good Mood Book serves a very specific purpose and does it well. John Arvai III understands the stresses of a small child and did a good job at trying to turn the frown into a smile on each page of the book; offering giggles, silliness and a feeling of happiness for any struggling youngster. I recommend The Good Mood Book; it is a lovely bedtime story, especially after a rough day at pre-school or on the playground. I believe it is a book that will be read many times and always bring a smile to your little one's face. The Good Mood Book is a must-have on every kid's bookshelf.
