The Gimmal Ring by Karen Koski is a fast-paced, nicely written and action-packed story that will be a great treat for young readers who crave adventure and suspense. Gwen is a cool protagonist, she isn’t afraid of taking chances and she is ready to solve the problems that arise. The author kept the narrative smooth and very engaging, I enjoyed how the story flowed effortlessly and made sure I was in the moment with Gwen. The mystery of the ring is interesting; the way Gwen had to make sense of the clues was even more entertaining. I enjoyed her reactions and enjoyed the story itself.
