There’s nothing spookier than a haunted house. How about a haunted house with skeletons, vampires, zombies, and even Frankenstein? Would you be brave enough to enter this house? Well, a certain witch was brave enough and she had a really fun time. She enjoyed meals with the spooky creatures, and fun times riding their bicycles to the park where they played on the play structures. Imagine the cacophony of sounds made by the skeletons as their bones rattled around on the bicycles and the play structures.

John Vorscheck III is a very talented young writer with lots of creative ideas. He sure knows how to plot an enticing tale of ghostly adventures. The Ghost House is his first book and it’s told with a great flair for creating an environment that is both spooky and funny. The colorful illustrations help carry along this fun story as the residents of the ghost house welcome the witch to their daily routines of eating (not something you’d expect skeletons to do) and playing games.

There are deeper messages in this story as well. The story aims to create an atmosphere that is all-inclusive, where everyone is accepted as an equal, be they a skeleton, a vampire, a zombie, a witch, and even Frankenstein. Each of the spooky creatures in the ghost house eats and plays together as a family. They treat each other as equals. This is indeed a captivating adventure of paranormal dimensions that is sure to entertain. I hope to see more works by this talented young writer.
