The Art of Senior Dating is a useful handbook, not only for those adults age 60+ who are seeking a relationship but also for senior singles who need encouragement to jump back into a social life after losing a spouse and withdrawing from activities. Ravina M. Chandra is sensible, kind, and nurturing in her words, yet her insistence on readers’ taking responsibility for their own happiness is exhibited in the weekly assignments. Chandra’s program includes tips on building confidence; removing emotional clutter; defining needs, wants, and deal-breakers; expanding one’s network; preparing for awkward conversations; and so much more. The Art of Senior Dating could be the perfect gift, for a friend or for yourself.
