Written by Kelly Robertson and illustrated by John Konecny, The Adventures of Zeke: Nature Walk is a book in The Adventures of Zeke series. The story begins with a cheerful scene. It’s a beautiful day and Kelly has taken her dog, Zeke, out to the nature preserve. The scenery is beautiful and Zeke gets to do a lot of fun activities, from eating apples, smelling different flowers to rolling on the grass. Kelly gets close to the edge of the cliff for a better view of the lake and, unfortunately, Zeke leaps right from behind her onto the slope. For a moment, Kelly forgets the beauty around her as she imagines the worst that could happen to Zeke. As she watches Zeke go down the hill, she holds her breath and anticipates the worst.
The Adventures of Zeke: Nature Walk by Kelly Robertson is a fun book that captures the beauty of nature. The illustrations done by John Konecny are creative and entertaining. He captures the beautiful blue sky, the flowers and the expanse of the lake. The story comes alive through the different images. I liked the bond between Kelly and her dog too, which is clear through her concern for Zeke. She also decides to take her dog out for a walk and enjoy the beautiful day with him. Reading The Adventures of Zeke: Nature Walk is recommended for children who own pets and share a great bond with them. This book will help them appreciate the magical moments they share together.
