Suzie the Suitcase is a fun children’s picture book written by Nita Losoponkul. It tells the story of Suzie the Suitcase’s experiences as she travels by airplane to yet another exotic location, far from home. Inside this exciting adventure story, we meet Suzie the Suitcase and her friends Larry the Luggage and Bobby the Backpack. These three take turns being filled with clothing and toiletries in preparation for their owner’s worldwide airline travels. Bobby reminds Suzie that it is her turn to go on a trip. Suzie is tired. Her wheels are wearing out from her many travels. Her Shell was tattered. Even so, she dreams of going someplace sunny and warm. Inside this book we travel along with Suzie as she is stuffed full of clothing and accessories. Next she is thrown into the trunk of a car and passes through the many airline checkpoints. Finally, she arrives at her destiny where another awesome adventure awaits. She can’t wait to return home to tell her friends all that she has seen and done.
Suzie the Suitcase is a well written children’s book. In this fun and educational tale, young readers will learn much about airline travel. Inside we find a very realistic story from the viewpoint of the traveling suitcase. This is the perfect book to share with any child who may be preparing to embark on their own airline adventure. This book is filled with vivid pictures that enhance the telling of Suzie’s exciting adventures. In reading this story, I was impressed with how well written and educational Suzie’s adventures were. I highly recommend reading Suzie the Suitcase by Nita Losoponkul.
