So you’ve decided to start your own blog. You want to join in the craze popularity of this informational, conversational World Wide Web means of communicating thoughts and ideas. Why not? You have a great idea for a blog theme: cooking, recipes, book reviews, movie reviews, political views, environmental issues, the list of possibilities is endless, really. It’s all out there, but there’s always room for more. You have your ideas, you know how to write, now all you need is the know-how to get this blog up and running. The only thing holding you back is your knowledge of computers, the internet and basically anything involving technology. Do you really have to be a computer geek to understand the process? The answer is ‘No’.
There are sites on the internet to help any non-techie get started, but Gundi Gabrielle’s little guide - Starting a Successful Blog when you have NO CLUE! - is a concise process that leads even the most resistant non-techie through the in’s and out’s of setting up a blog. And all in seven, well organized and easily presented steps. The guide leads the would-be blogger from the first very basic steps of host sites, through the techniques of registering and setting up the blog, and, most important, publishing the first post. That’s the easy part, apparently. Now comes the real work of setting up plugins, establishing a mailing list, marketing, and basically making the blog really work for the blogger. With screen views with arrows to point to important icons and instructions on what to click, this is a very useful tool for the would-be blogger.
