A teenage girl brings evil and death to her town when she dabbles with magic and her spellwork unleashes a malevolent entity in the supernatural novel, Something Wiccan (Shadow Tales Book 2) by James Drummond. Fifteen-year-old Natalie Sherwood is crushing on Justin Paris, a wealthy high school student two years her senior. Natalie's mother is the Paris family's housekeeper, and she and Natalie live in the guesthouse across from the family's impressive Victorian home. When Justin asks Natalie to hide his drugs until he is ready to sell them, she agrees. While looking for a place where her mother won't find the illicit contraband, Natalie stumbles upon a book of spells with the family name embossed upon the cover. Fascinated with the magical tome, Natalie starts practicing the lighter and easier spells found within its pages. Unfortunately, as her mother had never told Natalie she is a witch and explained the dangers associated with spellcasting, Natalie attracts the attention of a sinister predator. In addition, when one of her spells deviates, a vengeful spirit is conjured up and goes on a killing spree. Can Natalie undo the damage and escape the deadly situations she created before she becomes the next victim? Or is it already too late?
Containing the elements of horror and suspense, Something Wiccan (Shadow Tales Book 2) by James Drummond is a chilling urban fantasy. Including evil sorcerers, monsters, malevolent entities, hunters stalking and exterminating them, it is an extraordinary tale reminiscent of the television series, Supernatural. Flawlessly written, the captivating storyline smoothly flows from plot point to plot point, seamlessly forming a dramatic and spine-tingling story arc. I was held spellbound from the first page, and I don't think I fully breathed until I read the last sentence. Combining the aspects of aberrant witchcraft and atypical creatures with violent action and bloody scenes, it is a breathtaking tale that will thrill and entertain everyone from young adults on up who are fans of exciting supernatural adventures.
