Silent Walker is the story of Tori Burgess, a divorced woman who is about to face some really scary times. Tori and her ex-husband have remained friends and still care deeply for each other. When Tori gets a call from an investigator telling her that someone is seeking revenge for his wife being killed, and then she begins receiving phone calls with only heavy breathing, finding black roses at her door, and the feeling of being watched, she panics. Her ex-husband’s car was the cause of the accident and since he is away on business, Tori only tells him some of the things going on to protect him and keep him away. She hopes that her new boyfriend will be there for her, but she does have her doubts that he can. Silent Walker has suspense throughout and to tell you more would take away that suspense. I can tell you though, it is an awesome read.

I stayed up late into the night, unable to put Silent Walker down until I had all of the answers. I felt the terror that Tori was going through and so wanted to see her saved. Inge-Lise Goss has written an amazing psychological thriller that is impossible to put down. Silent Walker has great characters, a thrilling plot, and suspense on every page. I urge you to not pass up reading Silent Walker. If you enjoy a mystery filled with irrational behavior by the suspect and being in the dark as to who is involved, then this is a must-read. Silent Walker would be a fantastic movie and is a book that must be read.

In Silent Walker by Inge-Lise Goss, Tori Burgess is temporarily living in Brandon, her ex-husband's apartment while he is working in England. The arrangement is working well until the disturbing, silent telephone calls begin. Tori senses she is being constantly watched and when the first black rose is delivered anonymously, it confirms her worse fears; someone must have a grudge against her husband. After more strange events, revelations, and mysterious gifts, Tori is convinced that she is the target and is determined to find the person responsible. Suspicion falls on her new boyfriend who seems to be hiding something from her. Just as Tori thinks she has solved the mystery, a private investigator contacts her. Tori then realizes the perpetrator could be someone from her past who is determined to get their revenge.

This psychological thriller will take you on a gripping journey from the outset. The descriptive narrative was excellent and really transports you into the dark disturbing world of Tori. I loved how Inge-Lise Goss could build tension with every scene. The eeriest for me was the second delivery of the black rose and the late-night telephone call when she heard the words, “Like watching you sleep.” I truly had goosebumps. The characters were excellent and many were not who they first appeared to be. Just as the characters had many layers to their personalities, so did the plot. The revelations about the characters were brilliant and really kept my interest in the story. I found the twists and turns in the plot exceptionally executed. The author has an amazing ability to evoke any reader's imagination and emotions so much that you have one eye on the novel and the other over your shoulder. I could certainly not read Silent Walker at night.
