Born in Cleethorpes, a seaside town on the north-east coast of the United Kingdom; Rob now resides in Sihanoukville, a seaside town on the southern coast of Cambodia. He starting writing novels while living on an island in Thailand and his first novel, Siam Storm, received rave reviews around the world.
He followed this up with two more south-east Asian adventures; Chalice and Bimat. Leading on from them; he wrote two more comedic adventures, before trying his hand at Paranormal mysteries, with PATH and Next.
The porky ninja turtle impersonator, puts his imaginative story telling abilities down to the tales he has told throughout his life to avoid work. Doing bugger all has become his profession, which he is a true master. The large butt crease in his sofa is testament to his bone idleness.
Rob enjoys snorkelling in the warm waters around Sihanoukville, which he says is less strenuous than walking and keeps him in shape...Round.

In Siam Storm, four seemingly unrelated stories come together in a brilliant plot with an unpredictable ending. A young man seeking revenge from rejection, a wealthy pedophile who enjoys anything illegal, three Englishmen with somewhat loose morals and full pockets on holiday in Thailand, and a group of monks in an isolated village that passionately holds on to its Buddhist traditions all merge into one story. An adventure unlike any you have ever heard, simply because you had to have been there. How often does one meet an Englishman who is convinced that his bad luck is the fault of his two friends or a 29-year-old man just getting his first taste of alcohol and women? In a culture where sex is a lifestyle and women have no problem selling their bodies and their time to foreigners, loyalty seems to be scarce. But not too far away, young men dedicate their lives to defend their beliefs, even to the death. One such young monk, in search of a Holy Relic stolen from a secluded monastery, slips off the path to enlightenment and is given a not-so-gentle reminder by an unlikely group. Contrasting the carefree attitude of the bar culture with the passion and determination of the monks, Robert A. Webster’s Siam Storm is a great read.
Robert A. Webster is an amazing story teller. His imagery draws you in and engages your senses as you try to visualize the scenery. Webster’s knowledge of both Thai and English idiosyncrasy is deep and impressive. Whenever unfamiliar terminology is used in the narrative, the author includes footnotes with additional information that will aid you in understanding the plot - no need to try to figure it out on your own. The story is easy to read and very down to earth. Many hilarious adventures are included in the story to keep you chuckling for a long time. If you’re a drinker, you’ll be reminded in certain parts of a night out with your buddies. Once you pick up this book and start reading it, you won’t be able to put it down.
