Shady J Srour shares Secrets of Healing the Brain after twenty years of experience. Srour presents his information in four chapters, beginning with certain herbs, their uses, the benefits to neurological health, and dosages, with special attention to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases as well as depression and anxiety. The second part focuses on Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt’s model, which envisions five levels related to health: physical, energic, psychological, family and trans-generational issues, and spiritual. Srour discusses the approach to healing by using all the levels and medical intuition. In chapter three, the author discusses the alterations a person with certain conditions may make to their lifestyle to improve their health. The final chapter proposes ending the criminalization of substance misuse and treating it as a health concern, also citing public policies and his feelings on climate change and other environmental factors that contribute to a person's overall health.

With an educational background in zoology, neuroscience, herbal medicine, and plant-based nutrition, Shady J Srour delivers a comprehensive list of diet and lifestyle changes that could significantly improve the function of your brain. I suggest reading the book from the beginning until the final page, so you don't miss important advice backed by research. Srour's work is ethical, citing consensual human trials and research to help prevent future studies on non-consensual sentient beings and addressing stresses to the environment. The author is specific about environmental concerns, activity, medically supervised fasting, and the viruses that may be associated with certain diseases. The book is informative, but the text may be read easily by people outside the medical community. Secrets of Healing the Brain is a great selection for physicians who work in neurology or people who hope to improve their brain's function and may suffer from certain neurological conditions.
