Edward J George is retired from the Department of Defense Science and Engineering Corps he served as a Human Factors specialist in aerospace test and evaluation. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Colorado in 1976 and a Masters Degree in Experimental Psychology from Montana State University in 1979. He is a collector of gambling literature and a student of gambling systems. He’s been a regular patron of Nevada’s casinos and a dedicated craps enthusiast for more than a quarter century.

Secrets of Craps and Other Casino Games by Edward J. George describes how the game can be played. The author's expert knowledge of the game works well. The topics cover the game rules, table selection, betting strategies, survival tactics, game cycle and much more. Gambling is an exciting activity and the opening chapters help readers to become more familiar with craps and casino gambling. The chapters that follow later are interesting. The book also educates readers about the ups and downs of gambling. Readers will also be familiar with the jargon of gambling by the time they finish reading the book.
The author manages to convey the drama and excitement that comes with gambling. The upfront detail the author has put down is quite useful. The important component of a successful casino gambling strategy is to learn to play the comps game. The chapter Odds Fundamentals includes some math where the calculations are simple. The different ways of using the word 'odd' are discussed here. Dice have been around for a long time, since the dawn of civilization, though craps were introduced by the Americans. Though the details in the book are descriptive so that an amateur can understand and comprehend the game properly, it is equally helpful to veterans of the game. On the whole, the book throws a lot of light on the game and it makes for good reading.
