Author Echo Morgan has written a captivating and colorful book about the sea from the perspective of a scuba diver. Scuba Matt’s Underwater Adventure takes parents, teachers, and/or its young readers on an exciting exploration of life under the sea. With beautiful images, the story unfolds with Scuba Matt introducing his audience to a wide variety of sea life. Page after page is filled with fascinating creatures and a handful of interesting and insightful little tidbits about each of them. Furthermore, Morgan includes small notes with additional and educational information on every few pages, tucked into the corner. The story helps young readers think about how much fun it can be to explore the underwater world.
Scuba Matt’s Underwater Adventure is a young children’s picture book that can be enjoyed even before they’re able to read the story for themselves. From cover to cover, the book is filled with gorgeous, full-color illustrations by Anastasia Moshkarina. As the story is read by parents or older readers, the youngster listening can dive into the underwater city of coral reefs and beyond, side-by-side with Scuba Matt. It’s an adventure that children can enjoy from the comfort of their beds as they prepare to drift off to sleep. Echo Morgan doesn’t simply end the story with Scuba Matt having explored until his tank is running low. Instead, there are two full pages showing all the creatures from the story and asking young readers to name those that live under the sea. This beautiful book would make a wonderful addition to any child’s bookshelf.
