As Kitty Arceneaux points out in Ruth Ready, Titus 2:4 commands the older women to teach the younger how to love their husbands. Kitty has taken this command to heart and produced an audiobook that is chock full of advice for women. If a woman really desires to marry a Boaz, she must first become a Ruth. This book helps women become women of the quality of Ruth so they can find their Boaz and live a godly marriage. Christ has to be at the very core of your life as well as at the core of your marriage. Kitty gives excellent insight into what makes a marriage work and how to improve any marriage. Becoming a woman like Ruth requires developing characteristics like Ruth. Read this book to learn how to create a godly way of living so God can pour His best out on you.
In Ruth Ready, Kitty Arceneaux reinforces her teaching by asking questions to stimulate thoughts and application. Kitty shares her thoughts on how to get ready for a Ruth/Boaz marriage and how to make any marriage better. I was a Christian marriage counselor for over 30 years. I wish I'd had this resource to share with the many women I counseled. I would also have used this book in my pre-marriage counseling and made it required reading for all women seeking marriage. Kitty explains that the goal is not about looking for the right man but becoming the right woman. When that happens, the right man will come along. Kitty makes sure that the reader knows a good marriage involves work and needs both partners to be active in finding solutions, no matter what issue arises.
The audio version of Ruth Ready is narrated by Joy Johnson. Joy reads in a clear voice and pronounces the words without issues of accents. Joy’s voice is soothing and has no crescendos that might distract from the importance of the topics being discussed. This narration has a calming effect on subjects that could be very volatile.
