Return to Palm Court: An Isle of Palms Suspense is the story of Brittany, her sister Blake, and the Nelson family. Brittany and Blake have special powers of seeing ghosts which will create the drama for Return to Palm Court. When Brittany travels to Blake’s bed and breakfast to babysit her toddler niece she thinks it will give her a restful and fun time. Unfortunately, the peace does not last for very long. Her niece, Macy, is kidnapped and Brittany knows exactly who is to blame. Parker is a ghost that thinks he has a score to settle with the sisters and has returned to finish the job he started several years ago, bringing along his twin sister Maggie to cause even more trouble. As all of the Nelson clan gather together, they set in motion a plan to send the ghosts away forever and let life return to normal.
While I am not a huge fan of paranormal/ghost stories, I found Return to Palm Court to be a really good story. I loved the determination that the sisters, mom, and ghostly grandma along with their earthly and ghostly friends showed in standing up to Parker and Maggie. The story moved along quickly and kept me reading with eager anticipation. Stephanie Edwards did a superb job of mixing mortals and ghosts and making it all seem real and very believable. If you like stories about ghosts, mystery, family love and devotion then Return to Palm Court is a must-read.
