An elaborate hoax motivates a detective to look into the life of the man behind the prank, resulting in him and his partner coming face to face with an evil entity in the eerie supernatural novel Requiem for Noah (A Supernatural Mystery) by Doug Cockell. After seeing a 3D recording of an elaborate and creepy life-like hack of a government excursion on a VR headset, Detective Eilert Weiss is compelled to find the person responsible for the hoax. In a strange coincidence, a set of bones with conflicting times of death is discovered on the property next to the prankster's palatial family estate. The bizarre discrepancies of the skeleton make it impossible to ascertain whether the cause of death is murder, suicide, or natural. In the meantime, journalist Carly Rouhl is experiencing disturbing visions of a horrifying monster wreaking havoc. Are any or all of these bizarre incidents connected? Can Eilert and Carly unravel the mystery before the horror runs amok, endangering unsuspecting victims?
A sequel in the sensational Requiem series, Requiem for Noah (A Supernatural Mystery) by Doug Cockell is a suspenseful and thrilling sleuth mystery. The opening scene is intriguing and establishes the tone and essence of the story perfectly. Set in an ethereal ambiance similar to a Twilight Zone episode, the novel has a gripping plot and likable characters that are enigmatic and engaging. From the captivating start, the storyline flows along at an even pace, keeping the mystery and creepiness alive until the chilling conclusion. It is a goosebump-producing novel that will thrill and chill everyone who relishes stories with supernatural influences. Although though it is the second episode in the series, it is a fantastic continuation of the first book and does well as a spellbinding standalone. Due to some explicit language and mild intimate scenes within the storyline, the book is suitable for a more mature reader.
