The story blends all the elements of the dystopian and science fiction genres and Jay J. Falconer's words capture the emotions and intensity of the situations. The theories in the book are unbelievably outrageous and yet Jay J. Falconer made them effortlessly believable. I can always tell an excellent story after reading just a few pages and Redfall: Freedom Fighters was no exception to this rule. Right away, I knew I was in for a thrilling treat.

Redfall: Freedom Fighters is an interesting dystopian story that got me thinking about patriotism, survivalists, and the end of the world. I liked the characters in this story, especially Simon, and thought that Falconer did a good job of realistically describing his survivalist skills. That part of the book was very interesting to me, and I enjoyed learning how Simon and his freedom fighters survived in a dark and dangerous world. I think this is a fascinating series that is exciting, poses a lot of intellectual questions, and makes a person really think about the story’s premise long after the book is over. I commend Falconer for that. He did an excellent job pulling me into the story and keeping my interest as I watched the mystery unfold.
