I learned needlepointing and crocheting in high school and it was fun. Once I fully understood the technique, it became a cool and calming craft. Reading Quilt Your Own Adventure by Amanda Carye brought back old memories. Ironically, I just created a quilt in honor of my deceased father using some of his old favorite clothing. I enjoyed how Amanda displayed so many different types of quilts, styles, patterns, and their usage in this book to help the reader gauge the desired outcome. Amanda shares her journey into quilting and some of her challenges, which will connect with the reader.
