I learned needlepointing and crocheting in high school and it was fun. Once I fully understood the technique, it became a cool and calming craft. Reading Quilt Your Own Adventure by Amanda Carye brought back old memories. Ironically, I just created a quilt in honor of my deceased father using some of his old favorite clothing. I enjoyed how Amanda displayed so many different types of quilts, styles, patterns, and their usage in this book to help the reader gauge the desired outcome.
