Punny Jokes to Tell Your Peeps! by Lisa Ayotte is the tenth book in this delightfully charming series. The Punny Peeps are back for even more quirky and punny jokes together with an assortment of creative visuals. These are cleverly arranged and will no doubt encourage children to come up with funny scenes of their own. Ever wonder what you call a flamingo in Antarctica or what games cows love to play? Find out from the Punny Peeps. These delightful puns are more than just silly jokes. They will spark humor, imagination, and even deeper thinking in children. Children and adults alike will enjoy learning what polar bear cubs do for fun, why you don’t put mushrooms in the fridge, and why the Dalmatians had to go to the eye doctor, using puns that they’ll enjoy exchanging.
This is a creative children’s book that shares the enjoyment of telling puns. Each joke will bring a smile to children’s faces and no doubt get a laugh or two from adults. The photographs are innovative, with staged setups that provide visuals to bring the puns to life and truly reflect the saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. Children will enjoy finding tiny details such as what snowmen eat for lunch. Great attention to detail helps pull off the humor. Each image tells its own story so none are alike and will give children something new on each page. This silliness is seen in every image with a variety of characters in situations such as polar bears wearing earmuffs and Peeps failing to grow jellybeans. This book isn’t trying to be serious which is what makes Lisa Ayotte’s series work so well. The different characters featured include penguins, dragons, polar bears, and adorable little Peeps. Punny Jokes to Tell Your Peeps! is rooted in having fun, telling jokes, and showing children that it’s okay to be silly.
