Power Point by Jane Muschenetz celebrates women on every level. This small but precious book is a great read for every woman and girl. Even men and boys will enjoy Jane’s collection of poems because they are filled with enlightening and interesting information about women and girls. It helps each gender appreciate the special and sometimes serious struggles many face. Jane adds statistics that are staggering facts about the vulnerability of women and young girls. She covers much ground from where women once were, are now, and where women want to be. Jane also emphasizes the great gift women are as treasured mothers and the medical issues some women suffer trying to become mothers. She also covers safety concerns for women and girls by providing best practices to minimize harm to them – necessary information to have and remember at all times. Women are important members of society as well as men and boys. Women add much to society with the talents they possess and they deserve recognition for all they contribute.
In Power Point, Jane Muschenetz conveys sensitive and powerful messages through her poetry. The subjects also include gun violence in our current society as well as how young women are called to make a difference for all women and girls. The poetry styles vary but each one conveys how special women are and their real past and present struggles. Statistics reinforce the impressive seriousness of all the issues women and girls face. Being female is wonderful and should be treasured and celebrated. Jane Muschenetz helps women do so. I appreciate that other women will share my thoughts and feelings. Jane effortlessly does so and I am convinced readers will enjoy each unique poem and page as immensely as I have done. This collection is beautifully written and very powerful
