Gregory Saur is the author of several novels for young adults, including "Otherworld: Orcish Delight" and "Royal Pains and Angels in the Outhouse". He lives in Virginia, but often visits strange worlds only found in his imagination. When not writing, he practices to become a wizard, but only a good wizard. Right now his best trick is making pizza disappear. You may visit him whenever you like, just as long as he's not home at the time.

Panterror! The Epic Babysitting Adventures of Rachel Pugsley, an action packed fantasy novel by Gregory Saur, begins with high school graduate Rachel Pugsley finding herself babysitting for two kids in a different state. With the rules of a babysitter drilled into her by her mother, Rachel questions whether she is qualified to run a household and care for Lisa and Steven Winter for a month. Overlooking her own insecurities, she is thrown into a battle to keep her young charges safe. Sent to another world, Rachel stands up for children everywhere, declaring their worth and ensuring they are protected. Evil spirits are powerless against her love and fierce guardianship over them, making her a hero. As she battles against wickedness, those around her notice she is changing, almost to the point they don't even recognize her. This war against love and hatred keeps Rachel on her toes as the wizards are continually after Steven.
With wizards mysteriously placed in Steven's life, Gregory Saur manages to keep the reader intrigued by the continual turns of events. Though this is a longer novel than usual for young readers, you will find yourself hanging on each word as the story records the heroic acts of the babysitter, fear within little Steven, and Lisa finding confidence in herself. Saur crafts a fast paced fantasy, but emphasizes family and the bond and rapport among characters. The author addresses multiple issues children face within this adventure; bullying, prejudicial behavior, cheating, and trust. I love how Rachel continually keeps the care of the children foremost. She makes friends everywhere she goes, not because of how she looks, but because of the love and devotion for which she is known. Her reputation goes before her, making this an excellent novel for teenagers.
