Enter a team of thieves whose scheming and talent allows for one of the greatest heists of all time: the Romanov Jewels. There wouldn't be good thieves without accompanying excellent detectives. Enter Italian Inspector Giancarlo Pancardi and his British counterpart Alexander Blondell. After a bit of posturing and one-upmanship, the two become partners in the intricate plan to find out the team of thieves and bring them to justice.
This book has about everything a reader would want: mystery, intrigue, action, romance (adult only please) and the opportunity for the reader to get into the game of cat and mouse. Just when you think the mouse is trapped, the bars loosen and the game begins anew. The character development in this book is one to delight any reader who likes to get into role playing. It is easy to identify with all the main characters and it is this feature which endears the book to the reader, with the opportunity to go along with the action. It is fast-paced and yet there is time to sit and ponder what the next action should be. Clooney's style resembles that of Dan Brown with a unique twist that begs the reader to consider a major author-force in the works.
