Now You See Me: How I Forgave the Unforgivable was written and read by Kathy Sanders. Kathy is the grandmother of Chas and Colton, two victims of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murray Federal building in Oklahoma City. Most readers can only imagine the pain and grief that goes along with the loss of a child, however, even fewer can comprehend losing not one but two grandsons in this senseless manner. On April 19, 1995, she was faced with the loss of her two grandsons. For several months she struggled and questioned her faith and emotions. Then she turned it over to the Lord and knew that she must find forgiveness in her heart. She reached out to Terry Nichols and Timothy McVey and their families in friendship. She searched for the reason behind the violent act committed by Nichols and McVey. Kathy Sanders demonstrates the true meaning of forgiveness.
Now You See Me is an incredible book. I found it both difficult and heartwarming all at the same time. It was difficult to hear of the anguish of the people in Oklahoma City. Kathy Sanders' account brought tears to my eyes more than once. Her story warmed my heart because of the forgiveness she managed to find in hers. In Now You See Me, the author has included photos, interviews, letters she and Nichols exchanged; the addition of these brought this true story to life. This book was written from the author’s heart. Now You See Me will open the eyes of many and remind them of the true tragedy that befell the many families as well as the city and the whole country.
