Myra and Elmyra: A Tale of Two Sisters is a heartwarming children’s book by Tonya L. Davis with illustrations by Elisabeth A.R. Davis. In this delightful story, we follow two sisters who share a home on a farm but keep very different schedules. Elmyra sleeps throughout the day and is awake all night, while Myra is up throughout the day and then sleeps all night. These siblings have breakfast and dinner together and each completes all of the necessary activities and chores that need to be done to maintain their farm and cozy home. One day Myra leaves a pot of beef stew cooking and several charming neighbors stop by and check on the stew. What will become of this stew that many have prepared together? Beautiful and colorful illustrations accompany this heartfelt story. Delicious-looking recipes and fun crafts are included for readers to enjoy.
