My Lost Love by Poetic Woman is a brutally honest account of a woman's determination to care for her dying lover and is quite heartbreaking. Her selfless actions to ensure that his last days are peaceful are recounted in this book, with a frankness that will melt the heart of any reader. This is a story of two kindred spirits brought together and then torn apart when one passes away. The author details her every emotion from helplessness, anger, injustice through to despair with a dignity that is extraordinary. I believe she has encapsulated the process of bereavement perfectly. Her descriptions of moving forward without Bae beside her were heartbreaking. I liked the way the author wrote the book, as if Bae was by her side for one last time and she was pouring her heart out to him. A perfect book for anyone who has lost a loved one and is trying to make sense of the situation.
