A little boy must make time in his busy schedule to clean up his room in the charming children's picture book, Monster Pew! Clean Up Your Room! (Danny's Adventures) by Kenwanna Wheat. Danny leads a busy life. His chore list practically goes all the way down to the floor - if you're talking to Danny. What with homework, snacks, feeding his fish, and several other things, poor Danny doesn't feel like he has time to tidy his disordered room. Unfortunately, Mom is determined for Danny to clean up the monster mess in his bedroom. She says she's found things in there; stuff that shouldn't be found in a kid's room. Now, Danny must set aside time to clean his smelly room before it starts attracting monsters. Can Danny clean up his room? What will he find when he does?
Monster Pew! Clean Up Your Room! (Danny's Adventures) by Kenwanna Wheat is a vibrantly colored children's picture book about a little boy with a big problem. The book is written and illustrated by Ms. Wheat, adding to its unique appeal. Danny's room is very much like many little boys' rooms, which is something of a relief to know that my son isn't the only monster mess maker. The story is engaging but the illustrations are the star of the book. At the end of the narrative, Ms. Wheat has a story review page that outlines the lessons, parts of the story, challenge words, and parts of poetry, further increasing its educational value. I recommend this book to children aged 3-7.
