Missing in Michigan by April A Taylor is a paranormal mystery and the first book in the Alexa Bentley Paranormal Mysteries. What, exactly, is Alexa Bentley? Psychic? A medium? She can talk to ghosts and everywhere she goes, she finds them – or they find her. Accepting what she can’t change, Alexa heads off to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, to a small town where nothing unusual ever happens. Except it does. While trying to get Mrs. Felton, a recently departed soul, to move on, she discovers that quite a few teenagers have gone missing over the years. Add a Native American supernatural creature, a sheriff with something to hide and a professor into the mix and Alexa has her hands full. Will she crack the mystery before someone else goes missing? And what is the sheriff’s big secret?
Missing in Michigan (Alexa Bentley Paranormal Mysteries Book 1) by April A Taylor was a great read. It has everything – supernatural goings-on, plenty of ghosts, a bit of romance and a whole lot of humor – all wrapped up in a neat, easy read. This is a steady-paced story, with plenty of action and a few neat twists that you won't see coming. It was a humorous story although there are some more serious subjects covered, and very well I have to say. The characters are great, easy to relate to and very likable too. This is an excellent start to a series, a story that hooks you enough to make you want to read the next one. J L Bryan – you may just have some competition on your hands! Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
