Peggy M McAloon is on a mission to inspire kids everywhere to stand up to abuse and bullying. Her “Lessons from Fiori Series” about a young girl from Wisconsin, provides a strong female role model who isn’t afraid to show compassion or hack into a con man’s computer if the need arises. Peggy’s courageous battle with depression, abuse, and a traumatic brain injury has enabled her to identify with both children and adults who have suffered from abuse and bullying.
She’s a retired trainer and speaker in the field of commercial credit. Her first book, “The Art of Business Credit Investigation” was featured in Inc. Magazine. She’s been interviewed by the Associated Press and appeared on news shows in her efforts to protect our water resources.

Missing is the second book in the Lessons From Fiori series written by Peggy M. McAloon and Anneka Rogers. After baby J.J. Burton is kidnapped from his pram at a public fair, his sister, Elle, and her friend, (reformed bully) Jimmy Backus, are on the case. Under instruction from Mother Blue, the leader of the Fiorins (creatures who protect human children from the moment they are born until they reach their eighth birthday), the two human guides are assisted by a whole team of Fiorins to locate baby J.J. and bring him home safely. Elle’s and J.J.’s mother, Ginny, is unable to stay strong for Elle as she still mourns the loss of her husband who had been killed in Afghanistan less than a year ago while serving his country. With a private investigator, the FBI and the police staying at the Burton home while awaiting the kidnapper’s demands, Ginny knows that she is surrounded by those with the best of intentions. After discovering the kidnapper is under the mind control of Fiori’s evil Zorins, the Fiorins and human guides realize that the struggle to bring baby J.J. home to safety will be near impossible, but little do they know that baby J.J.’s kidnapping is just the beginning.
Lessons From Fiori is an absolutely engrossing and enchanting read, with believable characters from a different dimension to our own. Mother Blue and the Fiorins were so easy to visualize while reading this magical tale, and it was impossible not to fall in love with them. The sickening threat of having your child kidnapped in a public area is every mother’s worst nightmare. Missing portrays every conceivable emotion in a gut-wrenching scenario that brings people together in strength while uniting unlikely allies. The concept of ‘human guides’ working with miniature guardian angels to keep our children safe is literary gold. Peggy M. McAloon and Anneka Rogers both show imagination which knows no bounds, in order to bring a story of ‘fairy tale meets reality’ to the reader. I thoroughly enjoyed the second book from the Lessons From Fiori series and plan to seek out the other titles in the series for my own library at home. I recommend this book to all readers 12 years and older who enjoy mystery, drama and intrigue served up with a huge dollop of fantasy, magic and love.
