"Micah & the Magic Helmet" is a charming book for children. Micah is a little girl with a huge imagination. She had an unstinting devotion to her magic helmet, which was really a cake pan. Once her helmet was placed on her head she had unending wonderful adventures and it gave her the strength to encounter challenges she could not face alone.
"One night before bed, I was playing in my room. I looked at my closet and I saw a dragon staring at me through the open door! I was very scared. I put on my magic helmet because I was scared and I always felt safe when I wore it," we find in the book.
Find out what happens when the dragon's nose blew fire across the sky, and the dragon flew closer to Micah! Micah thought she was a goner. I was expecting the dragon to scare the daylights out of Micah but what the dragon asks her for was surprising as the tears rolled down his cheeks. This book teaches that even big scary beasts like a dragon can really have a gentle and loving heart, and it doesn't matter how big they are. This is a precious story and one that is perfect for your little cherub, especially if they aren't feeling well and have to stay home from school. Great book to add to your child's collection. A nice maze ends the story. Micah has hidden eight helmets at the end of the story for your child to find as well. Also a Green Dragon Cake recipe. A must make cake for a family night of fun! Very entertaining and engaging. The illustrations are simple, fun and colorful. I give this story a two thumbs up!
