Overall, I’d definitely recommend Memoirs of the Senator’s Wife as a multi-layered story for drama fans everywhere.

Under normal circumstances this would make her perfect as a first or second lady; a real possibility as her husband was en route to one day be situated in the White House—a position Estella never wants to see happen. This is a good read that I think many will enjoy and is a nice addition to the genre.

I despised Xavier and his attitude; I didn’t like how he treated Estella. I enjoyed how fluid the story was, how the author allowed readers to make their own assumptions. S. M. Ford took readers inside the minds of her characters; she gave rich details and superior dialogues to craft a picture of whatever was happening in the story. Memoirs of the Senator's Wife by S. M. Ford is a really interesting romance/intrigue that will take you on a high-intensity journey.

I enjoyed the way the author builds the background of the characters, allowing it to propel them towards specific paths. Xavier Cyrus is a man who has a lot of power, and his background already suggests this, but it is the kind of power that comes with its own challenges. He has a tragic flaw — women — and this rocks his family. The prose is gorgeous and the scenes are focused, well written with the points of view unmistakably captured. Memoirs of the Senator's Wife is a compelling and very entertaining novel with strong political and social themes. The author creates characters that are likable.
