Daniel Maldonado’s parents were born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and later emigrated to New York and then California in the late 1940s. Daniel Maldonado was raised in Los Angeles, California and is currently living in Arizona.
For over twenty years, he has practiced insurance coverage and employment law. He was a former partner at the boutique law firm of Kunz, Plitt, Hyland and Demlong. He still currently practices law.
He began writing and self-publishing in 2011 with a compilation of short stories entitled “The Palace of Winds and Other Short Stories.” Since then, he has published two novellas and another compilation of short stories. He writes literary dramas and romance from a male perspective. His main series the “Chambers Lane” series addresses social/cultural/religious struggles, which are primarily focused on the fictional Mendoza family living in the United States. The first book of the series – “From the Streets of Chambers Lane” was self-published in January 2017. The second book of the series – “When Dreams Abound: A Return to Chambers Lane” – was self-published in February 2017.
In January of 2018, he signed with Next Chapter Publishing (formerly Creativia Publishing). His plans for 2020/2021 include at least 3 new novels. Mr. Maldonado is currently working on a legal thriller for his upcoming Daniel Mendoza Thriller Series. His books are available in e-book, paperback, and audiobook.

May It Please The Court by Daniel Maldonado is A Mystery at a Regal Wisteria Resort story. Reyna Clifton’s Sweet Sixteen ceremony ends in tragedy after her mother is found at the foot of the grand staircase in the Regal Phoenix Resort and Spa. She is badly injured but did she fall or was she pushed? The family sues the resort, blaming them for the fall, and the resort fights back with Daniel Mendoza and his legal firm. Shortly after, Reyna’s mother dies in the hospital but the evidence doesn’t point to natural causes. Daniel wants to know what happened, why she died, and who wanted her dead. More than that, he wants to know why.
May It Please The Court: A Mystery at a Regal Wisteria Resort by Daniel Maldonado is a great legal mystery. Mr. Maldonado’s years as an attorney shine through in this story, lending it an air of reality that many legal stories don’t have. The plot is intriguing, full of suspense and mystery, and lots of twists and turns that lead you on a winding path towards the end. The characters are excellent, really well-developed into likable people that you can relate to and there was plenty of action throughout. The story starts slowly but it doesn’t take long to pick up the pace and drag you into a full-pelt race to the end. If you love mystery stories, especially legal mysteries, you are going to love this – it’s one of those books that, once started, you won’t put down until the very end.
