Author Biography

Marla Bradeen previously worked as a software consultant and analyst. In 2012, she gave up a traditional job for no other reason than to have more time to pursue personal interests, such as sleeping in late and taking naps. Although she misses seeing regular deposits into her bank account, she hasn't once regretted that decision.

She didn't initially intend to begin writing novels, but after several weeks of doing nothing, she realized sleeping all day isn't as easy or enjoyable as her cats led her to believe. Over the ensuing months, she wrote LETHAL INJECTION, which she self-published in 2013.

Marla finished her first (and, before 2013, only) novel in 2004 and spent the next two years unsuccessfully querying literary agents. That experience combined with the advancement of self-publishing over the past few years drove her decision to pursue the self-publishing path.

She was born in 1977 and lives in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA).

Lost Witness by Marla Bradeen is a fabulous book that will not only have you on the edge of your seat, clinging to every word as the intrigue unfolds, but will also have you laughing uproariously. This book will appeal to adults that appreciate a good, realistic mystery with plenty of humor sprinkled in. Betsy has endured the sudden accidental death of her father, followed shortly thereafter by the discovery of her husband’s infidelity and subsequent divorce. Life is about to throw another curve-ball in the form of her mother and her ominously large suitcase. Betsy is launched into a bout of amateur sleuthing following the revelation of her dead father’s infidelity, which is seemingly proven by the presence of an unaccounted-for cherry chapstick at the scene of the accident. The results uncover several skeletons in many closets and will change her family dynamic forever.

Sit back and enjoy the twists and turns of this well written book that goes farther than the regular whodunit and delves into the hilarity that is family life. It fully explores the foibles and fallibility of human nature and manages to balance it all out for a great and realistic read. As each page turns, prepare for many shocks, many giggles and belly laughs, and a jaw-dropping ending. Marla Bradeen seamlessly connects the dots and takes us on a journey that leaves no stone unturned, no outdated can of tomatoes left in the pantry, and no jibe left unsaid.
