Los Soñadores by G. Stephen Renfrey is about a time when you are not sure what is a dream and what is real. Jesse Benatar never had a normal life. His father was in the army with a severe case of PTSD. Whenever his father was home, he and his family bore the brunt of his condition, but the final blow was when his father died in Afghanistan. Devastated by the loss, he moves to his mother’s home town. If he thought things would get better, he was wrong. In fact, things took a worse turn and tipped his world upside down.
The town is divided by a Spanish colony called Los Soñadores - The Dreamers. He meets La Soñadora and her attraction takes him right into the middle of everything. Now she is haunting his dreams, and he finds that there is a parallel dimension between reality and dreams. But the lines are blurring and he has no idea how he can save himself from the shadows of evil. But how can he protect his mind when he does not know what is real anymore? Can he save himself or will he fall prey to an evil force.
Los Soñadores by G. Stephen Renfrey is by far the most interesting novel I have read in a while. The story line has great promise of being amazing. Jesse is an incredible character; he is resilient, strong, and full of deep emotions. The mystery of the society is intriguing and well formed. There is no fault in this novel. Intriguing, astonishing, astounding!
