Little Schitz: The Essential Children's Book...For Adults by Nate Jones is hilarious. Jones has filled this book with little quotes. Some are hilarious and some actually make sense. I was not sure what to expect with Little Schitz. What I did know was that with a title like that, it had to be interesting at least. I was not disappointed! Jones has made this book a quick but memorable read. He begins the book with instructions on how to read the book. At this point, I felt the need to remind him that most men do not need instructions. Women read them, but we change them to see if it works better another way.
Reading on, I realized I agreed with some of the things Jones said. My favorite quote was “Cliché Clarification”. It said, “Follow your heart, unless it is broken.” More people should follow this advice. I also thought his thought about Snapchat was hilarious and oddly accurate. I will never look at another Snapchat photo without thinking of this quote. The other quote that made a lot of sense was “Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.” This quote had me wondering what Dr. King would actually think about the way things are nowadays. These were just a few quotes that stood out to me. Jones has one quote on each page, which makes the book a quick read. Overall, this is a funny book! I am glad to have read it and look forward to more words of wisdom from Nate Jones in the future.
