In Let's Make Our World Better: How Politics and Religion Stand in the Way, Warren William Luce writes: “When we feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, shelter the homeless, take care of the sick, visit those in prison, and generally take care of one another, then we’re properly worshiping God, showing him love and respect. For God said, “When you do these things to one another you do them unto me.” In these words he summarizes the principle upon which Christian values are constructed, and they are the same values that we will meet in various religions. Transforming the world is about service. It is about being able to look beyond our personal greed and needs and see a world that is dying, that needs tending. In this spellbinding book, the author shows how religion and politics have served human greed instead of being at the service of a world free from greed, violence, injustice and the many evils that plague society.

The book is written in a simple, conversational style that is very accessible, but the prose is powerful and compelling, laced with insightful and rich passages. The author fills his writing with relevant examples and statistics, making startling references to history, and demonstrating with mastery and knowledge how we have departed from the fundamental principles of brotherhood, of love and service. He contends that we can change the world and make it better by changing our religious and political attitudes. The reader is left in no doubt that Warren William Luce has done a lot of research and that the confidence that comes through the writing reflects his rich experience and expertise in the subject. Let's Make Our World Better: How Politics and Religion Stand in the Way will change the way most of us look at the world and ourselves, our attitudes towards our planet and our fellow brothers and sisters. It is an irresistible call.

The earth is stunningly beautiful and astronauts have described their feelings of awe and wonder when they have viewed it from space. In Let's Make Our World Better: How Politics and Religion Stand in the Way by Warren William Luce, the author speaks about a magnificent world slowly going astray, mainly because of its inhabitants who are making it less of a paradise. The book makes a conscious effort to help us understand that we humans determine our own destiny and what we must do to right ourselves and make the world a better place. The author highlights the two most important problems to a better world - religion and politics - and how these two stand in the way of world peace. Humans can create both ugliness and peace in the world with their actions. Can human behavior be changed in a way so that we get rid of the negativity and change the world for the better?

The book is thought-provoking, insightful, and well written, and will make us think about our actions and beliefs and see what we can do to bring peace to the world. The author’s words are encouraging and will inspire us to take conscious steps to become more responsible individuals, and contribute in our own way to the well-being of the world. We understand the need to change the perception of our own being through this book, and will awaken to the truth that through clear perception, right choices, and true application, we all have the power to make the world a better place.

Let's Make Our World Better: How Politics and Religion Stand in the Way by Warren William Luce is a timely book that everyone should read. I could have passed over this precious gem because I didn’t feel like there was much creativity in the title, but then the book turned out to be one of the best books I have read about improving human relationships, building a healthy world for future generations, and healing the universe. Our world is dying. The people who have the power to make changes that could heal the world are busy strengthening their power or accumulating more wealth. The poor and the helpless bear the consequences of choices not made by them. Today, humanity suffers from all sorts of ills, from climate change to pointless wars, to acts of terror, to incurable diseases. But the world could be different if we are ready to look past our greed, embrace change, and become committed to working for a world where everyone has a place. In this book, the author shows how religion and politics have corrupted our attitudes towards the universe and how they can constitute a hindrance to the kind of progress that will curb the abuses we suffer today. This is the perfect blueprint that will lead humanity to a healthier and more peaceful future.

Without mincing words, Warren William Luce unveils the decaying wounds of our humanity, illustrates how politics has become a perverse game, and how religion can be misleading. The author writes with moving simplicity and confidence, uncovering statistics and facts that corroborate his arguments, and showing what constitutes erroneous beliefs in both religion and politics and how those beliefs destroy our participation in creating a world that is livable. He exhorts readers to embrace the path of love and compassion: “Love is the truth. Love is kindness, caring, and forgiveness. Love is uniting and healing. Love creates well-being, contentment, happiness, and joy. Hatred divides and destroys all those things.” I enjoyed the historical and cultural references, the political and social commentaries, and the powerful example of Nelson Mandela, which is proof that humanity can become better. Let's Make Our World Better: How Politics and Religion Stand in the Way offers a new perspective to handling the problems affecting our world.

Let's Make Our World Better: How Politics and Religion Stand in the Way by Warren William Luce is a non fiction book that dives into showing us how we can make the world a bit better. The book is a guide to how we could navigate the problems we have today and improve everyone's place in the world. It takes a good look at how the human species has gone down the wrong road, started destroying our world and just how we can find the way back to making things better once more. A map for how to make the world better for the future generations to come and learning to truly accept your own destiny.

I usually tend to avoid these kinds of books, but with the climate we have today it seemed like it would be a good read. I am glad that I read it because it really does take a look at how things can change and be fixed. Religion and politics have become intertwined and a problem. Warren William Luce has managed to truly lay out a way that we can move forward without all the bad feelings currently turning into a swamp around us. As people, we all have a destiny, no matter what it is we believe in and you can set your path forward. I enjoyed this book and truly felt as if things could get better after I finished reading it. If you want a good solid book that will help you find a way forward at a time when it seems very dark, this is a good read for you.
