Sloan the Sloth is back to unravel the story behind the mask that turns him into a superhero ninja sloth. The story takes the young reader through the history of the magical mask that wields superpowers if worn by the right kind of animal. In the battle to scare away the humans who cause a threat to the village, you'll meet the mysterious old monkey, the helpful monkey named Moshi, and last but not least, you'll find out just how powerful Sloan becomes and whether he brings safety back to his lovable village. Legend of the Mask by author Aaron Fox is an entertaining and courageous book for children. Not only does it tell a charming story of a magical mask, but it will also teach valuable lessons to anyone reading. This book is the second installment of the Sloan the Sloth series, and although I haven't read the first, I still grasped the entirety of the storyline, and I loved every page written. The story is exciting and has you rooting for the good guys in their battle against the bad humans who continue to destroy their precious village. It teaches that good will always win and suggests the importance of surrounding yourself with good people who will do anything to protect those they care about by not giving up on the fight. The illustrations are simple and professional and will be enjoyed by many young readers. I liked this book very much and can't wait to see where Sloan the Sloth's adventures take us next!
