Get ready for a gripping new murder mystery thriller by Angela Grey and Paige Peterson in Lake of Secrets. It's been ten years since the bodies of three premature babies were found on the shores of Lake Riley, each born a year apart, creating havoc in the nearby locality. The DNA test results show the babies to be half-siblings. Now, ten years later, Detectives Chayse Adler and Darley "Coop" Cooper find themselves investigating the cold case when two bodies turn up, belonging to the parents of the mother of the prem babies. Despite a tell-all journal written by the mother in her teenage years, rooting out secrets of the past is never an easy task. With the list of suspects rising by the day and immense pressure from the top, can Adler and Coop put the real culprit behind bars?

The best whodunnit stories are when you find yourself second-guessing over and over again until the end. Lake of Secrets is one such story. Angela Grey and Paige Peterson tease readers with little breadcrumbs sprinkled throughout the narrative, keeping their cards close to the chest and only revealing the entire picture in the last few pages. This enables you to immerse yourself in the story, captivated by a fast-paced plot full of twists and turns that keep you wondering what's going to happen next. The characters are layered, with inner conflicts and complex relationship dynamics that make them compelling and intriguing to read. Overall, a fantastic novel for whodunnit lovers.

Lake of Secrets by Angela Grey and Paige Peterson is a young adult thriller. Detectives Darby Cooper and Chayse Adler have reopened three cold cases that have haunted their town for years. Three infants were found at the edge of a lake with no one in sight. A journal provides some clues, and it points to an affluent woman in town. When her mother and stepfather are found murdered, it seems her guilt is certain. The detectives race to find out the truth as their case picks up momentum, and through a series of interviews and journal entries, they learn the terrible truth associated with the infants’ deaths.

I was a teen mother and so I was pleased with the awareness Angela Grey and Paige Peterson raise with their story. Statistics confirm a brighter outlook on teen pregnancy today, due to better information and birth control, and they mention this positive indicator at the end. The story moves along at a fast pace, requiring you to focus on every word so you don't miss a clue in this thrilling narrative. I wish Grey and Peterson had provided more depth to the detectives, but their banter is interesting. The plot will keep you guessing as small clues are given with each section of journal entries or every interview. It will pull you in and keep you turning the pages as you learn about the terrible lengths people will go to keep secrets. Lake of Secrets would make a great gift for any reader who enjoys mysteries and thrillers.

Three dead bodies of premature babies have turned up in a lakeside town. The DNA test results show the babies are all related half-siblings. No one from the town can guess whose offspring they are. Disturbed by the gruesome discoveries, the residents challenge the police to find the elusive woman responsible for the serial deaths. Violet Brizzi's parents have also been discovered dead. Ten years later, Detective Chayse Adler takes on the cold case. As she wades into the investigation, the alleged accessory list grows. One of the fathers names Violet Danforth, formally Brizzi, as the mother of the babies, now a successful architect and the wife of James Danforth, an illustrious financial analyst and planner. Violet was abused and neglected as a child and found keeping diaries a good form of release. She wrote about everything. Detective Chayse finds the journals and reads them, hoping to find the answers to the deaths but some of the pages are missing. Read Lake of Secrets by Angela Grey and Paige Peterson to find out more.

Angela Grey and Paige Peterson's Lake of Secrets is a fast-paced mystery thriller that is creepy, ominous, and full of suspense. The descriptions of the lakeside town give the story an eerie feel. It almost gives one the feel of a horror story. What type of sick and evil person would drown the babies or were they already dead? Would a woman who grew up with an abusive past kill her own kids and even more so, her parents? Was Violet the mastermind behind the killings or a pawn? There were moments with genius plot twists where I thought I had figured out who the killer was and then Gray and Peterson brought in new suspects! Lake of Secrets is very thoughtfully written and sheds light on abuse and teen pregnancy. It is unlike any other book I've ever read. Join Detective Chayse and her partner as they look to find the answers to who is behind all these killings.
