Forty-year-old Matthew Barret was trim, muscular, intelligent, and skilled. After a gig in Spain two years ago, Matt joined Jackson Bollinger and his kidnap recovery firm, the Bollinger Group, and has gone on countless jobs with them. He has learned much from the retired FBI agent with a heart of gold and a mind like a steel trap. Matt gets a 6-6-6 code text during downtime for a high-risk mission. There was a commission to conduct a search-and-rescue operation to retrieve a Fortune 500 executive, and Matt was tasked with leading the team. Matt already had some people in mind, and now he must prepare to return to a place full of memories and violence. Join him in the fifth book of the SEAL Strike Series: Kandahar Moon by M. L. Strong.
M. L. Strong crafted an action-packed, intoxicating narrative that made my heart pound. The distinctive characters and the suspenseful plot are the book's strongest elements. The story's twists, turns, and drama constantly kept me on the edge of my seat. Matthew Barret was a lanky, retired SEAL who was rough around the edges but good at what he did. Following him on his arduous journey has been an adventure in itself. He exhibited strength and resilience in the face of overwhelming danger and uncertainty. Various characters' involvements thicken the plot as the conflict escalated the deeper I got into the story. The plot was risky, creative, and thought-provoking. It was a high-speed action tale and an emotionally charged portrayal of Matt’s experiences in a war-torn country. Kandahar Moon was written with military insight and expertise that made the story come alive in my mind. The vivid descriptions and expertly crafted story have left a deep impression. I look forward to more work from M.L. Strong. Outstanding job!
