Just Let $%#&! Go! by Heather and Karen Tobin is a delightful self-help book filled with beautiful illustrations and rhymes, making it easy for readers to learn how to enjoy a healthier life. The book highlights how our habit of holding onto things impacts those around us. Changing our habits takes time, and we will make mistakes along the path of releasing our burdens and resentments. We may believe our opinions are the right opinions and obsess with insisting others see things from our perspective. In addition, many people keep things they no longer need or use, cluttering their living or workspace, but Just Let $%#&! Go reminds us that we don’t need all that “stuff,” and getting rid of it could free us to do things we enjoy. Also, some of us do not appreciate our worth and berate ourselves constantly, leading to us believing we are not good enough.
Thank you, Heather and Karen Tobin, for creating such a much-needed book. Just Let $%#&! Go! should be read by everyone, including ourselves—and especially “For Those Who Need That Little Extra Kick in the Pants!” Often, families and friendships fall apart because of how people behave, but those people can be difficult to talk to or have a conversation with. Here is the solution: buy the book for them as a gift. The relaxed, fun writing style and illustrations should convey the message to those who need to get over themselves or wish to make significant changes but don’t know where to start. “Let go of thinking you’re behind on the winding road of life. The joy is in the journey, friend; embrace joy and strife!”
