June Jenson and the Coins of Cassidy by Emily Harper is Book 2 of the June Jenson Series. June is back and, this time, she’s in even more trouble. Still suffering for her family’s ordeal with a stolen artifact, June decides to get away for a while and heads off on a press tour to try to fix her employer’s image and that of her grandfather. Heading off to America, she goes in search of a long-lost treasure that is said to belong to Butch Cassidy, knowing that she can’t let this opportunity pass her by – even if it wasn’t her who was meant to be doing it. Together with Griffin, Dr. Cooke, and the Professor, June heads into the Colorado wilds on a treasure hunt to end all treasure hunts, hoping that a real discovery will be hers – long before anyone at Oxford University realizes that she is no longer there. What trouble can June can get into this time?
June Jenson and the Coins of Cassidy (June Jenson Series Book 2) by Emily Harper was a good read. It is the perfect balance of mystery, with a little romance and a bit of humor thrown in for good measure. I did not read book 1 so I came into this blind as far as the characters were concerned, but I found that there was sufficient background included to give me a good idea of who I was reading about. The story was easy to follow and had plenty of action and plenty of "meat on the bones" to keep me interested in reading. The character development was good, and the ending was tantalizing enough to make me want to read the next book in the series. Great book for anyone who wants a light-hearted read.
