Jigglyspot and the Zero Intellect is a work of fiction in the horror, supernatural thriller, and suspense subgenres. It is best suited to mature reading audiences owing to lots of graphic horror content, including gore, violence, abuse, drug use, and explicit sex and language. Penned by author PD Alleva, this intense and gripping novel centers on the titular character, Jigglyspot: a killer clown in servitude to demonic entities looking for their next possession. Jiggly has plenty of work to do organizing a solstice celebration to bring demons and humankind together, and along the way, there’s much suffering and bloodshed for him to revel in.
Author PD Alleva has crafted a horror work with a unique perspective on villainy and the pleasure of the carnal and bloodthirsty, and it really is a no-holds-barred exploration of the darker side of humanity and beyond. There’s a very poignant through-line beneath the blood and guts that rings eerily true about Jiggly’s low opinion of humanity, and it’s this bite of witty realism that keeps everything logical, no matter how gruesome the events of the tale get. Horror fans will also get a bit of everything in this work as Alleva vividly pays homage to so many different popular subgenres, including supernatural and psychological thriller aspects, slasher-style horror moments which are viscerally well-penned, and erotic body horror scenes that walk a fine knife edge between enjoyably taboo and outright shocking, always keeping readers on their toes. Overall, Jigglyspot and the Zero Intellect is a fantastic work of paranormal horror fiction for fans of the extreme potential that the genre has to offer ... if they’re brave enough to handle it!
