It's Not the End of the World! But It’s Later Than You Think! by Billie Gorham is a Christian nonfiction book that seeks to unravel the end of days prophecy by combining the hidden meanings in the Bible books of Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, and others. The author makes educated deductions on where we are today in God’s timetable, with Israel and the Jewish nation as the chain linking world events that will lead to Armageddon on God’s great day. The book explores the current events of our times from the increase of violence, natural disasters, and the threat of World War 3, and the church’s apostasy, to name but a few. With passionate arguments, the author shows the world that things are happening just as God said they would in His biblical books.
In a world where there are so many experts and naysayers regarding Bible prophecies, Billie Gorham doesn’t try to lambaste the reader with calculations and brainy deductions that wow the reader with how smart the writer is. Rather, the book begins with a detailed description of events that were formerly foretold by Bible writers and came to pass. Using historical fact, the author proves beyond a doubt that certain events tally with biblical writings. What I really appreciated about Billie Gorham’s writing is that she doesn’t seek to force what she believes current events mean against scripture. The reader decides for themselves what they believe is happening and draws their own conclusions. This book makes the reader think about where the world is headed under political, religious and technological influences. I recommend this book to those who want to read something that is not pretentious. Rather than saying this means that, the author rather suggests could it possibly mean that. In her own way, the author shows that prophecy can’t just be interpreted willy-nilly, but it can go in so many ways and still fulfill events. Those interested in the Middle East will find insightful information and real news bulletins from reputable sources.
