K. Mobley was born as Kenneth C. Mobley in a small community just outside Augusta, Georgia. Kenneth's earlier years were always filled with creative moments; as a child, Kenneth enjoyed drawing and making funny comics to make his family and friends laugh. This continued on through to high school, where he became the cartoonist for the school newspaper. After college, he started his own underground record label that remained popular for several years. Kenneth went on to ghost write and create song concepts for countless artists. One day, a long time cartoonist and friend, Tony B. Jackson, suggested that Kenneth consider writing childrens' book stories. This idea sparked the passion to create once again, inspiring the holiday story book, It's Christmas Time: The Magic of Snowville. Editor Asimina T. Mobley was added to the group to set a high quality standard of literature. With these elements, they form what is now known as K blue Publishing.

It’s Christmas Time: The Magic of Snowville is a children’s science fiction picture book written by K. Mobley and illustrated by Anthony B. Jackson. Far away, on another planet, there’s a little town called Snowville. Sinclair Frost and his brother, Ivan, live in Snowville, and Sinclair is probably the town’s most popular resident. The Frosts come from a long family lineage of being Givers, a role very similar to that played by Santa Claus on planet Earth. As Christmas is getting closer, Sinclair is busy getting toys and gifts ready with the assistance of his gifted dog, Randall, and his twelve helper elves, who come from the Star Planet, which is the source of the Frosts’ special powers. This is a particularly special year as a mighty king has commissioned a very special gift for his newborn son. Ivan, Sinclair’s younger brother, has always been jealous of Sinclair and his role as Giver, and the royal commission makes him even more envious and unhappy. He decides to take matters into his own hands and prevent his brother from giving out any gifts at all.
K. Mobley’s science fiction picture book for children, It’s Christmas Time: The Magic of Snowville, is an original and humorous take on the traditional Santa Claus story. Sinclair Frost is hip and savvy, and while he still loves milk and cookies, he drives in a souped-up sled car designed by his dog, Randall, and they fly off into the sky blasting cool music as they go. Anthony B. Jackson’s illustrations are bright, colorful and zany, and they perfectly fit the tenor and mood of the story. This is a marvelous picture book for storytelling; however, the level of the vocabulary and simple storyline make it ideal for readers who are just past their primers and looking to get into reading on a more advanced level. It’s Christmas Time: The Magic of Snowville is highly recommended.
