Author Biography

Jeanne lives by the inspirational quote “Live well, laugh often, love much” by Bessie Anderson Stanley. If she could add one more thought to this inspirational quote it would be: “Live well, laugh often, love much” and learn all along the way. Jeanne's books are educational, engaging and interactive. She loves to put a fun spin on learning!

Jeanne was inspired to write this book because all children benefit from learning to make decisions. Learning to make choices is fun with imaginary dinosaur friends!

When she is not writing, Jeanne is inspired by spending time outdoors with her Scottish Terrier named Rocky, photographing nature, reading historical fiction, attending car shows and surrounding herself with family and friends.

Before embarking on her writing adventures, Jeanne enjoyed life and learning as an educational leader, actuarial analyst, research chemist and volunteer at a local children’s museum.

Is That A Friendly Dinosaur Knocking On Your Door? is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Jeanne Holmberg. What would you do if a dinosaur knocked on your door and wanted to spend time with you? What color would it be? One of the colors of the rainbow or some other shade? Maybe you could open an ice cream shop or fly a kite high in the sky together. Maybe you could build a fort and play hide-and-seek. Maybe you and your dino friend could play sports outdoors or enjoy a fun indoor activity, play some instruments, or listen to music and dance. There is no limit to the fun you can have with your dino pal when you use your imagination.

I absolutely loved Is That A Friendly Dinosaur Knocking On Your Door? The characters are fun-loving, colorful dinos with a different idea of fun. Each new dino and its unique personality and interests will inspire kids to try new things, play new games, and use their imaginations in a healthy manner. This story also encourages parents to teach children how to make choices early in life so that they can make more complex decisions when they get older. I also love how there are easy-to-understand work pages at the end of the book that will reinforce positive learning habits. The bright and beautiful illustrations will keep kids laughing and turning the pages. I recommend this book by Jeanne Holmberg to young children who are ready to read and like to learn something new along the way.
