In Irish Jew…And Other Tales Of Life In The Judy Lane by Judy Lane, the author graciously gives the reader a peek at her cherished memories. She describes how she and her wife are raising two children. A doting mother, she fondly speaks of their son Cory, their oldest child, and the sweet but rambunctious daughter, Shea. Judy reminisces how her Jewish father fell head over heels in love with her Irish, but non-Jewish mother. However, the happiness turned to tragedy because of the agony he felt after death took her mother from them prematurely. Judy seems to be a doting mother and partner and probably the kind of person you wish you had in your friendship circle because of her lively, sincere, and loving personality.
It was interesting to read about all the childhood misdeeds that Shea carried out in the name of curiosity. One of those times was when she casually placed a plastic bag over her head while sitting on the couch. It is a gentle reminder of how children cannot resist doing the craziest things. Irish Jew…And Other Tales Of Life In The Judy Lane is an endearing and amusing read. Judy Lane's personality shines through and it is clear how much she enjoys telling her stories. Her memories include those of World War 2 against the Nazis up to more pleasant ones - her marriage and life with her two children. As a bonus, family photos that show her family are featured.
