When college student Ryan Messmore sees Karin for the first time, his eyes are delighted and his heart is in turmoil. How should he approach the object of his newfound desire? A desire to not only investigate his feelings, but learn the proper method of attracting her to him and his Christian outlook on growing a healthy and moral relationship. This is a perfect read for young people contemplating the selection of a life partner, while also serving as a retrospective study for individuals already involved in marriage. Messmore presents a manuscript of obvious research intertwined with a beautiful love story that reflects the values of the church.
In Love: The Larger Story of Sex and Marriage is an investigation into the proper way to secure an enduring relationship. Scattered with an equal amount of realistic dialogue and quirky humor, Ryan Messmore provides a tome that functions as quality reading for an afternoon of personal enjoyment, as well as material for like-minded group reading. References to scriptures are balanced with a relatable cultural narrative to make this an easy read that also encourage discussion. Messmore is quick in assuring readers that his philosophy is a nonjudgmental approach in thinking. Do not dismiss this work as appropriate to only the sexually innocent or single individual. While reading In Love: The Larger Story of Sex and Marriage, this reviewer often found herself bemoaning her own past decisions until realizing that Messmore has a message for everyone, no matter his/her personal history.
