I'm, Two, So What Should I Do? by Shawntie Reyes explores what it is like to be a two year-old and finding a place in the world. This book follows a toddler through a morning, and the experiences she has in a brief period of time. It can be very difficult for a small child to figure out how he or she fits into this world. While an adult may look at a toddler's behavior as being bad, the toddler is just learning how to act appropriately and live appropriately in society. The illustrations were vibrant and nicely drawn to coincide with the story.

This fun little book clearly captured how a toddler thinks. Having a two year-old of my own, I can see how a toddler would react to the tasks given to him or her. I was able to imagine my own toddler in this story, and realize that she is just like all toddlers out there. The only criticism I would have about this story, though, is the absence of a responsible adult or caregiver for the child until the end of the story. A two year-old needs to have directions, and while my toddler is insistent on doing it all herself, I am still available to help. This story definitely caught the attention of my toddler who loves to be read to. Overall, I would say this is a fun read for all preschoolers!
